Do not buy if using on Macs!

The JUA230 is the only reason I have to restart my mac on a daily basis due to video corruption (driver MAC: V1.0b09), also pressing F11 half the time crashes everything when using this device! After liaising with j5create support and being promised the release of new drivers in a month, they have finally decided to pass the buck and put the blame on Apple not cooperating with them! Please save yourself the headache and do not buy any products for the mac that uses this driver version! If however you are buying this device for PC it works just fine.

I'm pretty happy with this adapter. I needed it to drive a 1920x1200 display from a Samsung Series 7 Slate that only has the one external display port available. Installation on Win8 went super smooth - install the driver, reboot, plug in - and it just worked. Win8 handles the screen running through the adaptor just like any other display - no special tools or setup required. The only issue was that although the display connected through this adapter is fine for general office tools, you can't do anything where a lot of the screen is refreshing quickly - such as youtube....the refresh rate is just too slow - perhaps 2-3 fps when watching fullscreen video. For me, that just means watching video's on the 'normal' hardware connected display and using the jcreate connected display for email, word, excel, etc.
