Constellation ES hard drives feature Self-Encrypting Drive models that can improve data-at-rest security and enhance return on investment.
 
Seagate enterprise Self-Encrypting Drives are TCG-compliant and eliminate the need to overwrite or physically destroy the hard drive for security purposes. This enables organizations to swiftly protect sensitive data and securely return, repurpose or sell the drive, thereby reducing drive retirement costs.
 
For stringent regulatory compliance needs, Constellation ES drives are also available as a FIPS (140-2) Validated SED. These SED models are NIST-certified to secure Sensitive but Unclassified and Protected class data.
 
Self-Encrypting Drives (SED) and FIPS 140-2 Validated drives are not available in all models or countries.
May require TCG-compliant host or controller support.
