Sapphire USB 3.0/ Optical Drive Enclosure
Overview
This new Addonics Sapphire /USB 3.0 drive enclosure is a compact size drive enclosure designed to support full height SATA optical drive or 5.25" storage device such as the Mobile Rack. Made with a rugged brushed anodized aluminum body, the Sapphire /USB 3.0 drive enclosure is built for durability and to provide effective heat dissipation in various operation environment. Come with choice of high-speed USB 3.0 or interface, this Sapphire enclosure is great for building your own custom external optical drive or drive cartridge system for hard drive or SSD.
Since storage device connected to port appears as an internal drive to the OS, the interface with an optical drive or hard drive can be used to boot up a computer, a great solution for system rescue operation or computer sharing or applications that need an external boot drive.

Can convert to USB 3.0 interface using optional mini USB 3.0 - adapter (ADU3ESAM). Model SESU3CS comes bundled with this adapter

- most of the full height Blu-ray or DVD-RRW burners
- Addonics Mobile Rack or most of the mobile racks for 3.5" SATA hard drive with length not exceeding 7.5 in.
- Addonics 2.5" Disk Array
- Most 3.5" devices using Addonics 3.5" - 5.25" mounting bracket
