The Samsung UD55D displays undergo a meticulous factory colour calibration process, helping to ensure accurate colour with minimal need for manual on site calibration. The factory colour-tuning for white balancing and colour difference compensation helps ensure that the displays present image in uniform colour and colour temperature. Users can fine-tune the colours with Samsung Advanced Colour Management software2, which offers detailed management for your custom requirements. Colour vibrancy can be calibrated automatically or manually. Colour values can be shared between multiple Samsung UD55D displays, giving outstanding intensity across all video wall screens.

 

 

The embedded content management solution in the Samsung UD55D, Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSSP), is designed to eliminate the need for additional PC or media player for each display in a video wall when using MagicInfo Videowall S software. Operating on a powerful system-on-chip (SoC), SSSP supports the MagicInfo™ VideoWall-S5application and can play content created with the MagicInfo™ Videowall S Author5 program or console applications. The MagicInfo™ VideoWall S5 ^Console Software enables the easy display of content for Samsung UD55D video walls in configurations up to 4 x 4, providing content managers with easy control over video walls for a near seamless display. Single or multiple images and video clips can also be uniquely arranged through dynamic screen editing and split screen support.

 

 

DP1.2 Ultra High Definition Loop Out for 2 x 2 Video Wall Configurations. The Samsung UD55D displays utilises DP1.2 technology to help enable delivery of UHD content across 4 separate displays (each display sold separately) when set up in a 2 x 2 landscape video wall configuration. Simply loop out of the first display with a DP1.2 cable3 and daisy chain the displays and they are ready to accept Ultra High Definition (3820 x 2160) content.4

The thin bezels combine for a total bezel gap of 3.5mm (2.3mm(U / L), 1.2mm(R / B)) and help to create a near-seamless digital canvas, providing audiences a superb viewing experience and minimal distractions.

 

 

The Samsung UD55D offers powerful connectivity. With the Samsung UD55D displays, RS232 and RJ45 control can be used simultaneously. Using a DP 1.2 loop out3, a single image can be shared with connected and compatible nearby screens. This feature helps eliminate the need to purchase separate video signal distributors for each device.

 

 

Easy Image Rotation – use the display settings to rotate your content.
The Samsung UD55D comes with an image rotation feature which enables simple rotation of screen content using display menu functions. The feature is designed to allow content to be reoriented with minimal impact on its aspect ratio. It can also be delivered to multiple compatible screens via DP1.2 loop out (daisy chain) 3, e.g. to expand landscape content across 3 UD-C Series (of same size) displays in portrait mode (as shown above).

 

 

Display Daisy Chain and HDCP Support using DP1.2 loop out³ The UD55D Series offers DP1.2 loop out to daisy chain multiple displays for video wall applications. The UD55D also offers HDCP support through DP1.2 loop out for up to 7 Samsung UD55C series displays. This helps to overcome HDCP compliance issues for multi screen deployments or video wall applications where you need to deliver protected content from one device to multiple displays.
