Product Description
The Kanguru Defender 2000 is the most advanced, easy-to-use, secure, hardware encrypted flash drive in the world. Designed to address stringent security standards, this hardware encrypted device is ideal for keeping sensitive government, financial or corporate information highly secure, yet conveniently portable. It combines several high level hardware encryption models and certifications, robust anti-virus and tamper-resistant protections, as well as remote management capabilities for the most comprehensive security solution available in a hardware encrypted flash drive. Now with its Level 3, FIPS 140-2 Certification, the Defender 2000 proves unequivocally that it meets and surpasses the most stringent federal, healthcare and financial industry security regulations.
256-bit AES Hardware Encryption
Hardware encryption is the backbone of the Defender 2000's security, providing top tier performance unmatched by software encryption solutions. In addition, Password matching and security functions are contained in the cryptographic chip, meaning that the encryption can't be circumvented, further ensuring your data's security.
FIPS 140-2 Certification, Level 3 (Cert # 1981)
The Kanguru Defender 2000 hardware encrypted flash drive has achieved Level 3, FIPS 140-2 Certification.
FIPS 140-2 is a joint Certification program between NIST (National Institute of Standards) in the United States, and CSE (Communications Security Establishment) in Canada. It provides government guidelines regarding the security evaluation for cryptographic modules. Kanguru Solutions demonstrates that by meeting the level 3 threshold of FIPS 140-2, the Defender 2000 has strong, tamper evident protections in place to prevent unauthorized access, attack, or brute force attempts to gain access to the sensitive data.
Common Criteria EAL2+
The Defender 2000 secure flash drive is in process to meet Common Criteria EAL2+ standards. Common Criteria is an accreditation process adopted by over 24 different certifying nations, and is a much wider review process of the overall product design and functionality than FIPS. It covers the product from its inception to final product and overall use.
Onboard Anti-Virus
Every Kanguru Defender 2000 hardware encrypted flash drive comes with an integrated onboard anti-virus (30-day FREE trial). Built right into the drive, this feature prevents the Kanguru Defender 2000 from being used as a vehicle for transporting viruses and malware. The anti-virus can also be used to scan the host computer(s), in effect becoming a portable anti-virus solution for every PC you work on.
Tamper Proof Design
The Kanguru Defender 2000s casing is filled with an epoxy compound that is water resistant and prevents physical access to the chip. Any subversive attempt to remove the epoxy compound destroys the flash chip, rendering it unusable and inaccessible.
Remotely Manageable
Using Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC), this optional feature gives you the ability to control an entire fleet of Defender 2000 hardware encrypted flash drive(s) from anywhere in the world. As the administrator, you can remotely delete drives that have been lost or stolen, manage passwords (strength, updates and remote resets), and ensure drives are in compliance with set security policies and much more.
