Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security includes significantly improved protection of financial operations via online banking and payment systems (e.g. PayPal, WebMoney, etc.) and while shopping online.
How it works:
If an attempt is made to enter an online banking system, bank website or payment system account, Kaspersky PURE 3.0 performs the following activities:
Verifies that the request is going to the genuine site of the bank or payment system (checked against an updatable list of sites in the product).
Verifies the security certificate, to avoid redirection to a fake website.
Scans the operating system for vulnerabilities critical for online banking.
Suggests opening the website in Safe Money mode to protect your personal data against theft.
If a website is opened in Safe Money mode, Kaspersky PURE 3.0 restricts how other programs and processes can access any data that is transferred. This helps ensure your personal data is protected against theft. When Safe Money mode is activated, a green frame will appear around the browser window.
Automatic Exploit Prevention New!
It is common for malicious programs to exploit vulnerabilities in popular applications such as Adobe Reader, Internet Explorer, and Firefox to try to gain control over the computer, steal personal data, etc. PURE 3.0 includes a new technology, Automatic Exploit Prevention, that prevents and blocks such exploits. Control over the launch of executable files (including web browsers) whenever vulnerabilities are found, or when they originate from applications which are not intended for the launch of executable files (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
If executable files are launched, their activities are checked for any signs of exploit behavior.
Control over any activities performed by an application where a vulnerability is detected (i.e. following the link, recording other processes to the memory, etc.).
Virtual Keyboard Improved!
The Virtual Keyboard is an onscreen keyboard that you use with a mouse. It ensures logins, passwords, bank card details and other confidential data can be safely entered into web pages without the use of a standard keyboard. This prevents data from being intercepted by malicious programs that can take screenshots or record keystrokes made on a physical keyboard.
Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security now provides fast access to the Virtual Keyboard from web browsers. When banking or payment sites are opened, the Virtual Keyboard's quick launch element is automatically activated in the input field.

To make protection against visiting phishing websites much more effective, Kaspersky PURE 3.0 integrates an enhanced updatable anti-phishing module. In particular, heuristic analysis has been improved, which checks to see if a URL has the typical characteristics of a phishing website.
URL Advisor Improved!
Built into browser toolbars, URL Advisor flags links to infected or fraudulent (phishing) resources using a special color indicator within search engine results. To receive more detailed information about a specific website, place the cursor over the coloured indicator.

Single update server on your network
You can reduce the Internet traffic needed to download Kaspersky PURE 3.0 updates by assigning the role of update server to one computer in your home network. This machine downloads updates from Kaspersky Lab's servers and the other computers on your network download the material from there.
Monitoring your child from your computer
If you have a home network, you can monitor your child's day-to-day activities and manage safety policies using Home Network Control from any Kaspersky PURE 3.0 protected computer on your home network.

Popular search engines such as Google have a special Safe Search mode that blocks pages with inappropriate content. The Safe Search option in Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security will ensure that this capability is always engaged.
Protection against sites with undesirable content
The Parental Control module in Kaspersky PURE 3.0 can block a child's access to sites with undesirable content (pornography, violence, etc.). You can also block specific sites by adding them to a blacklist.
File download control by file type
Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security can block the download of specific file types. This helps you prevent your family members from breaking copyright laws by illegally downloading content from websites.

Personal information

User-friendly settings
In the new version the interface of the Parental Control module has been enhanced to make it more user-friendly. Configuring profiles has become much easier: now you merely have to select the level of control that corresponds to the age of your children or according to your specific needs (e.g. reports about a child's computer activity). You can either use the preset recommended settings in profiles ('Child', 'Teenager') or customise your own settings.
Password Manager
The Password Manager module in Kaspersky PURE 3.0 allows you to create strong passwords that are securely stored and easy to manage. The password database can be accessed using a master password, a USB or Bluetooth device, or a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. Password Manager supports several accounts, meaning each individual PC user can have their own password database.
Password Sync New!
Kaspersky PURE 3.0 now stores your passwords in the cloud (i.e. online), so you can synchronise them across all of your Windows machines. So, now, from any of your PCs, you can access your Password Manager, and you'll automatically be logged into websites and applications.
Simply choose the option Enable Sync during Password Manager setup.
Note that to use the online password database, you'll need to create a Kaspersky account. You will be prompted to register when you choose the Enable Sync option.
Safe Notes
Kaspersky PURE allows you to safely store not only logins and passwords but also personal notes containing confidential information such as PIN codes for SIM cards, software activation codes, passport details, etc. Safe Notes can be set up using standard data templates (e.g. 'Bank cards', 'Internet settings' etc.).
Secure account transfer
If for any reason you need to pass on your login details for a particular resource, Kaspersky PURE allows you to transfer accounts in an encrypted format. After a specified period of time the product will remind you that the account was transferred to another user and that it should be changed to ensure the required level of security.
Strong, unique passwords for better security
The best security practice is to have a unique password for each and every site or application. Kaspersky PURE 3.0 can generate secure, random passwords to provide better security. It also automatically enters them into your account logins.
Import passwords from other applications
Many web browsers do not store passwords securely, making it easy for cybercriminals to get access to them. If your email account or web account (e.g. for a social network) is hacked, for example, a criminal can use it to access confidential data or to send spam from your name. Password Manager helps you locate unprotected passwords in browsers and transfers them to its own encrypted database.

Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security can not only manage passwords for websites but also for popular Windows applications. A Password Manager button is conveniently embedded at the top of the application window and can be used to manage passwords directly from the application.

Once you complete an 'Identity card' in Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security, it will remember your answers and complete lengthy forms for you.

Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security automatically backs up your passwords every time you make changes to any of your accounts.
Secure vaults for valuable information
Kaspersky PURE 3.0 offers the opportunity to create a special secure vault to store valuable information. The information stored in the vault is encrypted and the vault is protected by an individual password which makes it inaccessible to hackers and criminals. Within the product, the vault is displayed as a removable disk. You can also safely transfer your confidential data from one computer to the other (Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security must be installed on both machines). To do this, the data can be placed in a protected vault and sent by email or saved to a USB.
Preset vaults
If you don't want to create a vault for your files by yourself, you can use the preset 100 MB vault as required.
Creation of multiple vaults
You can create as many secure vaults as you need, so every user can have a secure place for his or her sensitive data. Each vault can be protected by an individual password.
Data backup
Sometimes your computer may crash. To ensure the safety of valuable information, you can easily configure your system for regular backups. Then a few simple mouse clicks can restore the system when necessary. You can use the hard drive, any removable media, an FTP server or any other network storage to store backup copies.
Online Backup New!
Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security now integrates an online backup functionality, allowing you to back up files online via Dropbox a service trusted by over 100 million users. Free storage is based on the standard Dropbox conditions up to 2 GB free of charge. The advantages of online backup storage are:
The backup copies of files are stored in one place a protected online storage. In case of emergency (e.g. damage to the hard drive, computer theft, etc.) your most important files will not be lost or damaged.
You can access the backups of your files from any computer with an Internet connection.
Note that to use this functionality, you'll need to register a Dropbox account or use an existing one. You will be prompted to register or login when you create a backup task and chose 'Online Storage'.
