X52 Flight System

X52 FLIGHT SYSTEM

Developed using customer feedback from our previous award-winning X36 and X45 stick and throttle controllers, the X52 Flight System is the premium stick model outside our Pro Flight Range.

Featuring 23 buttons, three 8-way hat switches and 7 control axes, the X52 gives you 47 basic commands plus the control axes. But when you include the programming options provided by powerful Saitek Smart Technology programming software, which allows you to make use of the 3 position mode switch and Pinkie shift switch, the total number of programmable commands rises to 282!

With all those commands, things could get confusing so you can use the Multi-Function Display (MFD) screen to check programmed command names and use the clock and stopwatch function for timing the legs of your flight plan.

This product is also Combat Pilot approved. Combat Pilot is the ultimate multiplayer combat flying experience created within the Microsoft Flight Simulator X (sold separately) universe that puts you in the cockpit of realistic, interactive combat training and encounters.

very worth the money

getting to understand the saitek programming software was a bit unintuitive at first but once you grasp the concept it is a breeze. took me about 1 hour to set up propperly for IL2 and following setups for lomac and msfs2004 went smoothly and quick. the stick throttle combo has a nice finish and the overall impression is that of a very refined and durable product. the only let down i have discovered sofar is the fact that the clutch button can not be programmed which imho is a waste of an easily accessible button. maybe this will change in a future driver update. setup possibilities are almost endless. to give you an example, my il2 profile uses all three modes available. mode1 for normal flight and combat, mode2 for landings and takeoffs and mode3 for bombing. switching between the modes is as simple as using a dial placed on the stick. granted the stick itself looks a bit weird (especially with the bomb button secured by a safety switch) but what matters is the absolute superior feel of control you will get with this stick. my aerial gunnery in il2 improved immediately. use of the keyboard is hardly needed anymore as you can program anything and everything to the stick and throttle. the twist rudder featured on the x52 means that i ll have some time now to save up for rudder pedals and a track ir :)
