AVCHD delivers stunning high definition picture quality and crisp audio through the revolutionary new MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression technology on a built in 30GB hard drive allowing up to 7 hrs of high definition recording. The Sony unique ClearVid CMOS Sensor and Enhanced Imaging Processor combine to deliver high resolution images for 4.0 Mega Pixel still image capture, Dual Recording and Smooth Slow Recording features. Dramatic 5.1ch surround sound recordings are also possible with the Dolby Digital 5.1 creator on board to automatically encode your footage, adding an impressive dimension to your high definition videos.
Easy back up solutions are available through the One Touch 'Disc Burn' and Easy PC Back Up functions. Utilising these Sony unique features you will have quick and easy access to back up your data at your fingertips. Import your footage to any PC* loaded with 'Player for AVCHD' software and you'll be viewing your High Definition production in no time. You're then able to burn to a full size DVD disc, which can then be played back in any Blu-ray compatible device such as the VAIO AR18GP Blu-ray notebook and the highly anticipated PLAYSTATION 3 or directly ouput your footage to your TV via the HDMI slot!
