Designed for the ultimate in easy use, simply select Intelligent Auto Mode from the dial and the camera will automatically detect motion, shake, face & scene and select the optimal settings accordingly.
Jitter from shaky hands is far and away the biggest single cause for blurry shots. LUMIX cameras help solve this problem with an advanced optical image stabilising system, called Mega O.I.S. This system uses gyrosensors to detect even tiny camera movement and then shifts the lens the opposite direction to compensate. The system is completely optical - it does not affect the CCD or image processing - so you get a sharp, clear images without deterioration. It assists in achieving high quality images in a wide range of shooting conditions such as telephoto, macro or low illumination.
Detects Movement & Prevents Blurring.With most cameras, if a subject moves while you're shooting, you're likely to end up with a blurry photo. Not with LUMIX Intelligent ISO Control, which utilizes subject-motion detection circuitry inside the Venus Engine III image processor to automatically adjust the ISO setting.The higher ISO level lets the camera shoot at a highershutter speed, preventing motion blur. If the subject is not moving, the ISO setting remainsas isand you capture a beautiful, natural looking image with minimal noise.
LUMIX face detection technology detects up to 15 faces and automatically adjusts AF & AE to best capture the face. Face Detection also features Auto Tracking, which means once a face is detected in a shot and the subject moves, face detect will automatically track the faces through the shot. Face Detection also detects and adjusts for lighting conditions and automatically adjusts the camera settings to best capture the face.
Intelligent Scene Selector determines the scene based on the shot being set up and adjusts the camera settings to best suit the shooting conditions. Intelligent Scene Selector can detect five common scenes. 1) Portrait2) Scenery3) Macro 4) Night Scenery 5) Night Portrait.
A newly designed noise reduction system detects chromatic noise & luminance noise seperately. This lets you capture crisp, high resolution images with no graininess even when shooting at a high ISO setting. Images are rendered in fine detail without visible colour bleed.
Featuring five aspherical lenses with six aspherical surfaces including an extra-high refractive index aspherical lens, this lens system made it possible to create a 28mm wide-angle lens with 3.6x optical zoom that's compact enough to fit in a camera with a superslimprofile.
