Thermalright K8 Retention Module for AMD K8 Motherboards for Gigabyte and Asrock Motherboards, these brands use push-pins to secure the retention module onto the motherboard whereas other brands use screws to secure the rentention module through the motherboard onto a backplate on the back of the motherboard. The customized metal Thermalright backplate must be used in conjunction with the K8 Retention Module, since Gigabyte and Asrocks motherboards do not have back plates because of their push-pin retention modules.
