Jack the MP3 Ripper is an extremely efficient ripping tool that enables the user to extract audio from a CD and export the music into either *.mp3 or *.wav format.It can rip to WAV or MP3 format files, with a choice of encoders.
Jack can rip at different frequencies, ranging from 32 KBPS through to 320 KBPS for as good if not better than CD quality.
No need to run through and rename every track that you rip, with Jack once the CD is inserted it will down load the CD information from an online database, this includes the title of the CD, Artist and track names.
Easy three step ripping process:
1. Insert CD
2. Select the destination directory
3. Click the RIP button

Jack the MP3 Ripper features include:
- Encodes to MP3 format or Windows WAV format.
- Simply select which format you wish to rip to from a drop down list within the program.
- Encoding to MP3 format is done at various bit rates from 32 Kbps to 320 Kbps, defaulting to 128 Kbps.
- Easy to use front menu enables you to easily select the bit rate and begin your rip
- Full editing and saving of MP3 format Title⁄Artist⁄Trackname IDTAG information.
- From with in the dialog of Jack the user can right click the recently ripped file and edit the tag with in the file, changing Title, artist, Album and year.
- Requesting of Title⁄Artist⁄Trackname data over the Internet.
- Using a large web based CD data base, there is little that Jack does not know about the CD that you place in your drive.
- Selection between multiple source CD Drives, if available.
- If your machine has multiple drives Jack is capable to rip from either of these drives.
- Remembers the last 10 destination directories used.
- No need to navigate to the last directory you dumped your files to, Jack will recall the history of your destination drives, so as to speed up the rip process.
- Help and Tips available at any time.
- Simply click on the help menu with in the program and choose to view the Help wizard and the helpful tips when ripping a track.

- From with in the program click on FILE - UPGRADE to check that you have the most up to date version of the software.
