-- Kingston® Technology Company, Inc. today announced the limited availability of DDR400 (PC3200) memory modules for system builders and PC enthusiasts. The Kingston ValueRAM DDR400 DIMMs are destined for use on motherboards supporting DDR400 memory.
In 2002, the transition to DDR memory technology has taken place across all platforms, ranging from desktop PCs, workstations, notebooks, servers and other networking⁄communications platforms, resulting in DDR becoming the dominant memory technology in 2003.
"Kingston is further demonstrating its market leadership by supporting system builders, gamers, and other PC enthusiasts by introducing DDR400 memory modules to Kingston`s already comprehensive line of ValueRAM memory products," said Mike Sager, senior vice president sales and marketing, Kingston.
"Consistent with the introduction of any new Kingston product, Kingston has undergone multiple levels of rigorous testing to launch the DDR400 memory modules," said Dr. Ramon Co, vice president, technology and test engineering, Kingston. "Kingston engineers have tested the new modules on the Agilent 83000 platform to verify engineering specifications. The memory modules have also been tested on the currently available platforms that support DDR400,"
