The ThinkPad DVD-ROM Ultrabay Slim Drive helps you access the massive data file storage capacity of DVD and CD media, including DVD movies and music CDs. And don't worry about DVD fomat debates, it reads both DVD Forum and DVD+RW Alliance formats.

The ThinkPad DVD-ROM Ultrabay Slim Drive provides playback compatibility across the formats endorsed by the DVD Forum ( DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM media) and the DVD+RW Alliance (DVD+R, DVD+RW) formats and CD (CD-ROM, CD-R and CD-RW).
Access data up to 9.4GB per double-sided DVD-RAM disc, up to 4.7GB on other DVD discs, or up to 700MB on a CD disc, based on media used.
 
Lightweight and 33 percent slimmer than DVD-ROM Ultrabay 2000 drive.
 
Compatible with the optional ThinkPad Slim Drive Adapter for UltraBay 2000 so your optical Slim drive can be used in the Ultrabay 2000 modular bay of theThinkPad Dock II.
 
Includes InterVideo WinDVD, a full-featured DVD movie navigation software*.
