High Quality Printing
Producing superb print quality at up to 4 inches per second, the CLP 7401 offers excellent, economical performance for general labelling applications.
Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000 and XP compatibility
The CLP 7401 is entirely compatible with leading operating systems, assuring users of maximum flexibility and Citizen is committed to developing its printer drivers to adapt to the continually advancing technology.
High resolution means better quality
The two samples below show labels at 400 and 200 dpi. The extra quality of the 400 dpi can easily be seen especially on the curves of the logos which are often used on rating plates. The same applies to regular text.
Ultra-compact labels
The CLP 7401 can handle labels as small as 0.1 inches (2.54mm) long. Using the ultra-accurate front label sensor gives incredible alignment accuracy allowing these tiny labels to be used. Overall label pitch (top of one label to the top of the next) is just 0.2 inches or 5mm.
High resolution means compact size
The 400 dpi printing allows standard '1D' barcodes to be halved in size, compare to traditional 200 dpi printer. Two-dimensional '2D' barcodes, such as PDF-417 can be printed at a quarter of their normal size allowing labels to be used where space is at a premium, or enabling more data to be printed in a given area.
Dual Interface
For flexibility of choice, the CLP 7401 is supplied with both a high speed parallel interface, especially useful for graphics printing and an industry standard RS232C serial interface.
LCD Control Panel
Users have no need to wonder whether the CLP is correctly set-up and ready to print. The LCD control panel displays easy-to-understand messages about the status of the printer.
Easy Label Loading
Print media is easily placed in to the printer. The clam-shell mechanism and high-lift printhead makes feeding labels through complex paper paths a thing of the past.
Memory
The CLP 7401 is equipped with a large 2Mb memory as standard to accommodate the graphic intensive applications or longer labels. A flash memory card is available as an option which allows logos and forms to be saved during power-off
Moveable media detection sensor
The printer's media detection sensor is adjustable allowing irregularly cut labels and tags to be used with ease. The moveable detection sensor can also detect black registration marks that are not at the edge of the media.
