The Microtek ArtixScan F1 is a high quality flatbed scanner and a transparency scanner!

Reflective material (photos or documents) are scanned on a glass flatbed.
Slides and transparencies are scanned directly inside the scanner using special film holders (glass-free scanning) thereby eliminating the optical diffraction and dust problems caused by glass.

The new F1 scanner also features auto-focus, a feature normally only found on dedicated film scanners or far more expensive repro scanners.

Compared to conventional scanners, the Microtek ArtixScan F1 delivers better shadow detail, improved clarity and excellent colour accuracy on default scans.
