The 1080p signal format used by Blu-ray Discs offers the highest image quality among high-definition video sources. The VIERA processor receives 1080p video signals in their original format. 1080p Digital Re-mastering Processor - Up-converts SD video signals to 1080p signals. Delivers pictures as beautiful as those from HD video signals. (Image is displayed on HD Panel with 1920 x1080 resolution).

The processor converts SD and HD video signals from DTV broadcasting and DVD players to 1080p without loss of image details. It also applies progressive conversion to upgrade 1080i high-definition video signals to 1080p signals. This allows VIERA to render pictures that are more beautiful than the original. For example, use your VIERA remote to control a timer recording operation with your DVD recorder or to start and stop playback of scenes from a video camera. With VIERA, extra ease and convenience are part of the entertainment package.

Operate DVD Recorder Playback and Recording with Only the VIERA Remote Control

Use the VIERA remote control unit to operate your Panasonic DVD recorder. Press the VIERA Link button on the VIERA remote, select "Recorder" from the VIERA Link screen, then choose playback, or other functions from the menu. It's that easy.

Play Scenes from an HD Video Camera with Only the VIERA Remote Control

HDMI Input

For future expandability and ease of use,TH-58PZ700A comes equipped with3 HDMI connector slots, one on the front and two on the rear.
