THERMAL DESIGN
ADVANCED ANTI-DUST COOLING SYSTEM
Strix GL503 has a specially-designed cooling system that improves airflow and
system durability to cope with the demands of intense gaming sessions. It
automatically adjusts fan speed to ensure system temperatures stay at the
optimum operating window for the CPU and GPU. Intake vents situated above the
keyboard and under the chassis improve airflow into the system, while the
patented trapezoid-cut lid design allows hot exhaust to flow freely out of the
air tunnels at the rear.
The two upgraded 12V fans spin much faster than regular 5V fans, boosting
airflow and increasing air pressure to improve cooling efficiency. In addition,
the patented Anti-Dust Cooling (ADC) system expels dust particles and dirt to
improve system reliability and durability.

UPGRADED 12V FANS
Compared to regular 5V fans, the two powerful 12V fans found in Strix GL503
spin 20% faster, improve airflow by up to 42.5%, and increase air pressure by up
to 92% for a more effective cooling system.
ANTI-DUST COOLING SYSTEM
The ADC system is a patented centrifugal fan module with two anti-dust
tunnels. It works on the principle of centrifugal force, which acts on any
object moving in a circular path, effectively pushing it away from the axis of
rotation. Dust and other particles in the fan module are blown along the fan
walls, and eventually expelled out of the chassis through the anti-dust tunnels.
This prevents buildup on the heatsink fins. Dust accumulation on the heatsink
often result in compromised cooling performance. The ADC prolongs the lifespan
and increases the stability of the system. Fan noise also decreases since the
fans arent overworked.
ULTRATHIN FINS
The special copper-alloy cooling fins used in Strix GL503 are just 0.1mm thin
half the thickness of regular fins. Narrower fins allow for more fins to be used
in the cooling module; this increases the surface area for heat dissipation by
up to 16%, while at the same time reducing air resistance by 7%.
TRAPEZOID-CUT LID
When opened, normal laptop lids block airflow out the back which could, in
some instances, cause overheating. The innovative and patented trapezoid-cut
avoids this problem, and improves thermal efficiency by up to 27% over
traditional designs.
FAN OVERBOOST
While the dynamic fans automatically adjust their speed according to CPU and
GPU temperatures, you can select different modes to suit the situation at hand.
Overboost is the most aggressive setting, with the fastest fan speed for the
cooling required to fully exploit the power of Strix GL503. Silent mode lowers
the fan speed, ideal when youre after some peace and quiet. A single press of
the function key (Fn+F5) allows you to quickly and easily regulate fan
performance to control noise levels and power consumption; it can also be
accessed through ROG Gaming Center.
MULTIPLE COMPONENT COOLING
The unique heat-pipe design cools not only the CPU and GPU independently to
avoid thermal throttling, but also keeps chipset power components below 80C
increasing system reliability and lifespan.

ARMED WITHROG GAMING CENTER

in real time. ROG GameFirst V, Sonic Studio III, GameVisual, Aura Core, as well
as XSplit Gamecaster, can also be accessed through ROG Gaming Center. ROG Gaming

GAMEFIRST V
ROG GameFirst V technology maximizes throughput for your game! It prioritizes
