hut tour, the Black Diamond Saga 40 JetForce Pack is designed to accommodate big
loads while providing a truly innovative addition to your avalanche tool kit.
JetForce Technology, the result of a multi-year collaboration between Black
Diamond and PIEPS, is the first avalanche airbag system to use jet-fan
inflation. JetForce’s repackable airbag and fully rechargeable electronics
system provide zero-cost user practice and travel-friendly performance. The Saga
accommodates features both ski and snowboard carrying systems, and a dedicated
avy tools pocket, ice tool PickPockets™ and a HiLo helmet holder secure your
additional gear. Now with updated firmware, the Saga covers all of your needs
for big trips in the mountains.
JETFORCE TECHNOLOGY
A. Automatic system self-diagnostic electronics perform
“good-to-go” system check on every start up: LED lighting in the handle
indicates system status
B. JetForce can redeploy multiple times on a single charge,
costing nothing – in time or money – to practice as long as needed. Whether
deployed for practice, in a false alarm, or during a slide, it is easy to re-arm
the system for up to four deployments on a single charge.
C. Cordura airbag made from puncture-resistant automotive
material is easy to repack for practice and multiple deployments
D. The Jet fan inflates 200 L airbag in 4 seconds, and
automatically deflates after 3 minutes to create a potential air pocket
