Use of original toner
For optimum performance we recommend Kyocera Mita toner, which is specially designed for your printer.
Toner particles of the incorrect size can lead to poor print quality with streaky grey background or ghosting on the page. Kyocera Mita toner contains ceramic cleaning beads which are essential to ensure the printer drum is clean and particle fee. This is particularly important as our drums are designed to last several hundred thousand copies.

A Kyocera original toner will either have the Kyocera Mita logo moulded into the toner cassette or the toner will have a green Kyocera Mita label on it with white writing including our logo.

Toner Life
Regarding the life expectancy of printed documents using Kyocera Mita Printer and toners, as yet no information is available about how long laser printed output will last, mainly because laser printers have only been around for a relatively short time. We can however make recommendations with regards to prolonging the life of laser documents, these are as follow:

Acid-free papers (pH 7.5-8.5) are better suited for documents intended to be stored for long periods e.g. wills, rather than normal laser paper and recycled papers (pH 4.0-5.5)
The documents should be stored in folders made of polypropylene or polyethylene rather than PVC.

Kyocera Mita printers fuse at a higher temperature than most other laser printers, this will increase the durability of documents.
