HP Surestore DDS-4 tape catridgedrive with 40GB capacity running on 150m. The DDS-4 transfer rate is specified as between 1.5MB and 3MB per second(native).This id determined,predominantly, by the speed at which the heads turn, and the frequency at which data is sent to the recording heads. To meet the DDS-4 specification, both of these speeds need to be increased.
