The new Avision AV280 desktop scanner offers a set of features previously only found in larger workgroup scanners. Star  ting with its blazing top speed of 70ppm (140 ipm in duplex mode) which is sustained even when scanning in colour. That's handy when you want to use the automatic colour detection feature. The AV280 also offers 100 page feeder capacity, an advanced feed roller mechanism, multi-sensor skew detection and ultra-sonic double feed detection. The Avision AV280 is capable of handling a vast range of documents, from 28 GSM onionskin paper all the way up to credit cards. Most documents can be mixed together, which is an important productivity gain compared to entry level scanners. Ease of use is exceptional thanks to Button Manager, the ability to quickly select profiles using the up/down buttons and the fact the profile names are displayed on the LCD display. You can name profiles by document type like Invoices, Receipts, photos and have different settings associated with each of those. You can associate profiles with destinations of your choice, e.g. JohnB, TracyM, GoogleDocs, DropBox, MSWord, etc.. Document  s can be output to a range of file formats including JPEG, TIFF, PDF and text searchable PDF. With Avision's Button Manager, you can also scan directly into most applications by just pointing to it. This includes MSWord, Outlook, file folders, Notepad, Google Translate, DropBox, Evernote, FTP, Sharepoint, GoogleDocs, Photoshop and many more. It's that easy! The Avision AV280 ships with software for Windows XP, Win 7 (32 &64 bit) and Windows 8. An optional software is also available for Mac OS 10.
