1. This hub is not designed to serve as a standalone charger and will not charge an iPad or any other device with non-standard charge requirements.
2. Mac OS X has a number of issues with USB 3.0 hubs. Until these are fully resolved with hub firmware and Mac OS X updates, we recommend against using USB 3.0 hubs with Mac OS.
