Worth the money
Im using it with a Sandisk DAP 1GB. The unit works better in more remote areas. I find that I have to re-tune it a lot when in and around cities. Despite the instructions recommending a medium volume output from the MP3 device, it works best at high volume. Ill give a real test in Fiji at the end of the month and see how it goes.

dont waist your money on this. the transmision is terrible when your listing through the radio. It Doesnt have a strong signal no matter what you do. I had to pump up the volume of my mp3 player to the max to get some music trough and with really bad quality sound. not impresed, and never use it anymore.

OK - but blows car fuses
I found the unit to be quite good in the remote areas of WA, but it has a nasty habit of blowing the cigarette lighters fuse on my car - and this is a car that is only 3 months old. Andy

Wicked Little Device
I bought the tunecast II as I live in Brisbane and most of the frequencies on other machines that only offer say 4 preset frequencies are taken already. This is a really cool little unit, and the quality of sound reproduction is surpirisingly good. I highly recommend this item. And at this price, it is cheaper than what you would get from eBay. Very happy.

Buy this for any device
I bought the Tunecast 2 as it differs from the first fm transmitter. You can select any frequency in the FM band to transmit the output of you portable device. I used a Sony Net MD and thus far have had no problems on the South Coast of NSW. There could be a possibility of problems with it in larger cities, but with Tunecast 2s ability to transmit on any freq within the 88-108Mhz range you should be able to find a spare FM channel. The power option is also a bonus, dont have to worry about batteries reducing your clear output. There is a slight bit of interferrence during ebbs when moving to the next song, but once the music is playing the transmission reproduction is quite clear. For the price of this unit on this website, you cant do no wrong. Instead of constantly upgrading you head units to go with technology, just keep the Tunecast 2 attached to your latest MP3/MD/portable device.
