WAG102 brings standards-based enterprise-level functionality at a mid-market price with features such as robust security measures, simplified management and configuration, integrated IEEE 802.3af power over Ethernet (PoE), and Wi-Fi certification. Supports Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and is optimized for NETGEAR ProSafe Network Management Software NMS100.

It provides support for WPA2 and 802.1x to enable strong mutual authentication to ensure only legitimate clients have access to the network. 802.11i, WPA2 Enterprise provides enhanced, interoperable wireless networking security.
