Ultra DMA/66 RAID Card Features and Benefits
Features and Benefits
Provides hardware RAID fault tolerance
The AAA-UDMA RAID Card supports RAID levels 0, 1, 0/1, and 5. It also supports advanced RAID features such as hot-spare and bootable arrays, assuring round-the-clock fault-tolerance for your business-critical data.
Offers quick and simple installation and management
Installing Adaptec RAID is easy. Simply plug the AAA-UDMA RAID Card into a PCI slot, run the Adaptec ARRAYCONFIGTM UDMA software (included in kit), and follow a few simple steps. Adaptec ARRAYCONFIG UDMA software allows you to set up a bootable array. A bootable array enables you to protect your operating system as well as your applications and files.
RAID management is also simple with the intuitive, graphical Adaptec CI/OTM management software. Adaptec RAID cards installed in one or more servers can be configured and managed remotely from a single Windows® NT®/98/95 workstation on the network, providing convenience and flexibility.
Performance
The AAA-UDMA RAID Card utilizes the latest generation of IDE technology -- Ultra DMA/66 -- offering throughput up to 66 MB/sec per channel. The AAA-UDMA RAID Card also includes a dedicated, on-board RAID co-processor and advanced cache algorithms to deliver true hardware RAID performance. The on-board cache is expandable up to 64 MBs.
Ensures Adaptec compatibility and reliability
All Adaptec RAID cards are rigorously tested with hundreds of systems and peripherals so you can be sure youre getting compatibility you can rely on.
