The ServerLink FMC-100WDM-100 is a pair of single-mode bi-directional WDM fibre media converters that enables you to extend a 10/100 Ethernet connection over one (simplex) single-mode fibre cable up to a maximum distance of 100km.

The FMC-100WDM-100 uses Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (WDM) to enable bi-directional communication over a single strand of fibre, doubling the capacity of your network without having to install new fibre cabling. WDM technology achieves bi-directional communication over a single fibre by using two different wavelengths (typically TX 1310nm & RX 1550nm) to transmit and receive data.

The FMC-100WDM-100 can be used as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module in the optional 14 slot rack mount chassis for use in a central wiring closet.
